最近は夜のうちに雨が降り、ドロドロの道なき道を歩く毎日を過ごしております。

インターン3号こと柴田です。

今回は、タイトルの通りインドでパーマをかけたお話をお伝えします！

（実は、パーマを当てたのは1ヵ月前で、近日のニュースでないことをお許しください。）

Hello, I’m intern No. 3, Hanae. It rains during the night these days, this is the big problem for me because the road is very bad to walk. Anyway, How’s it going everyone!　As a title of it, I convey the story about getting my hair permed in India.

 ■パーマをかけた経緯 　The reason I permed my hair

インドはご存知の通り気温が非常に高く、

過去最高気温は、昨年ラジャスターン州のファローディという都市で記録された51度だそうです。

昨年の暑さによって、首都圏だけでも440人以上が熱中症等で死亡したことがCNN報道されました。

そこで体調を崩さないためにも、いろんな意味で気持ちを入れ替えるためにも髪をきってさっぱりしようと思ったわけです！（意味深）

私は髪に異常なまでのこだわりがあり、日本での話ですが、美容室で失敗してその場で泣き崩れた経験が2回ほどあります。

とはいえ、日本に限らず美容室で成功するか否かは、やはり美容室選びが最も重要です。

お店の外観、内観、客入り、メニューの豊富さ、値段等、しっかり調べていきましょう！

Everyone knows that India is so hot country, and the max temperature was 51 degrees which was recorded in state of Rajasthan last year. CNN reported that more than 440 people died for heatstroke in the capital area only. Then I think it’s time to cut my hair in case not to upset my health and refresh my mind!

To be honest, I’m particular about my hair and I have the experience that I had have cried in the salon twice when my hair wasn’t well finished.  Checking  the Salon’s Appearance, interior, number of customers ,and  abundance of the menu and price is necessary not to cry in the salon like me.

■モールの美容室に行ってみた 　A salon in a mall

インドでは、路上に散髪屋がある等、髪を切ることができる場所はたくさんあり、

路上でもマーケットでも、非常に多くの散髪屋さんを見かけます。

一方で、パーマをあてられる場所は少なく、おしゃれな美容室に行ってもパーマの機械を取り扱っていない店舗もあるようです。

私は、ゴルフコースロード沿いにあるモールの中のおしゃれサロンに行ってきました！

まず、日本と同様入店してすぐ店員さんに、なりたい髪型の画像を見せます。

私、レイチェル・マクアダムスが大好き大好きで。

そして、店員さんはせっせとパーマの準備をし始めます。

そのとき、ロッド（髪をマキマキする通常プラスティックの小道具）がこのお店では木であることに気がつきました。

この時にやめておけばよかった。逆にかっこいいと思ってしまった自分が情けないです。

ちなみに、インドのパーマは木製のロッドが通常らしいです。

 You can find many salons in India but there’s not so many salons which has the perming machine. Then I went to the salon in a mall along Golf Course Road. At first, I showed this pic as I want be as soon as I entered the salon. And this pic was it. As I like Rachel McAdams very much. Salon staffs started to prepare of perming, then I realized that the rods are made of woods, but usually it’s made of plastic. I should have stopped perming that time….

そして、約2時間程度で完成したインド初パーマが、こちらです！

どこがレイチェル・マクアダムス！！ロッチ中岡やないか。。

と心の中で発狂。（笑）

また、周りにいるスタッフはアメイジーングと言ってきて、気持ちを煽られもう半泣き状態でした。

ちなみに、気になるお値段ですが、パーマ、カット、トリートメントをしてもらい、計7,000Rs（11,900円）と、日本とそう変わらないですね。

お店の外観も内装も素敵で、抑えるポイントは抑えたはずだったのですが、、。さすがインドです！

そして、周りの人たちに髪型をいじられる日々が続き、元に戻すことを決意しました。

Then this is completed picture! Which part of this hair exactly appeared to you as Rachel Anne McAdams ?! It’s like an accident for me. Actually this hair isn’t so bad but it doesn’t suit me at all, does it? Incidentally total cost of hair cutting, treatment and perming was 7,000Rs. It’s about same price as the salon in Japan.

Anyway I was really shamed still going to the office for a while then I decided to restore my hair to original.

■どうやって直したのか How I can get my hair style back

実は、トクミさんという日本人の美容師さんがいらっしゃいまして、デリーにサロンを構え、グルガオンに週に2回出張に来られております。

仕事終わりの19時からお願いして、2時間程度で元のストレートに直してもらえました！

最初から、ここでパーマをかければよった。。

今は下の写真の通り、元の髪に戻り無事ロッチ中岡を卒業しております。

Actually there’s Japanese salon in Delhi and  the shop owner Tokumi san comes to Gurugram twice in a week. I asked him to restore my hair to have permed again after my work finished at 7 pm. Then my hair became straight like my original after 2 hours. I should have permed here…

■最後に　Closing Remarks

インドに住む方は皆様、一度はこういった苦い経験をされている筈です。

「できないなら最初から言ってくれよ、、」と仕事場や生活の中で思うことは多いのではないでしょうか。

期待があるから失望するわけですし、何事も期待しすぎないのが一番ですよね。

ある程度の期待と、失敗してもいいやという少々投げやりな気持ち、もしくは失敗させない根回しが非常に重要であり、これらが海外生活をより豊かにするのだと、

今回の失敗で勉強になりました。

少々雑なまとめとなりましがが、今回のブログはこれにて終わり！

Everyone living in India have like this bitter experience I think.  I wonder why they always say yes in spite that  they can’t do actually. Too much your Expectation sometimes makes you disappoint so We shouldn’t expect so much about everything.

Having  certain degree of expectation, Being haphazard to accept someone’s fault, and Acting for not to have someone makes mistake is very important. these make our life in foreign country enrich I think. This time wasn’t good story for me but I hope I can show you happy story next time.
